Can I receive my refund on a different card or as store credit?Updated 6 days ago
Our standard procedure is to refund to the original payment method (for security and tracking purposes). But we understand there are scenarios where that card might no longer be available (expired, closed account) or you’d prefer a different solution like store credit.
Here’s how we handle it:
Original card expired or closed: If your credit card account is closed or the card has expired, don’t worry. Banks will usually still process the refund and either credit it to your account or forward it to your new card. If for some reason that fails, the bank typically issues the funds to you via check. (You can confirm with your bank how they handle refunds to closed accounts.)
Requesting store credit: If you’d rather have store credit (maybe you plan to shop with us again soon!), let us know when you initiate the return. In many cases, we can refund you in the form of a REBEL gift card or promo code for the equivalent amount. This can sometimes be processed faster than a bank refund.
Different card: Generally, we cannot send a refund to a different credit card than the one used. This is a fraud prevention measure. If the original card is unavailable and you don’t want store credit, the best path is still to let the refund go to the original method and let your bank route it to your new account.
Partial gift, partial card: If part of your order was paid by gift card, we’ll refund that portion back to a gift card, and the rest to the card. We can’t, for example, put everything onto a different card that wasn’t originally used.
We’ll do our best to accommodate reasonable requests. Just communicate your preference, and we’ll let you know what’s possible. Our goal is to get your funds back to you safely and smoothly!
