Can I split my payment between multiple credit cards or payment methods?Updated 6 days ago
Our checkout currently accepts one credit/debit card per order (in addition to allowing gift cards). That means you can’t split the cost across two different credit cards within the same transaction. But there are a couple of scenarios to consider:
Gift card + card: You can combine a REBEL gift card with a credit card. For example, use a $50 gift card and then your Visa to pay the remaining balance. This is the most common “split” payment we see.
Multiple cards workaround: If you have two cards you want to use, one option is to purchase a REBEL gift card with the first credit card (for the amount you want to spend on it), then use that gift card plus your second card at checkout. It’s a bit of a roundabout, but it works!
Installments: Alternatively, you might consider using Shop Pay Installments. It’s still one card, but it splits your payment into chunks over time, which can help if you’re trying to manage different budgets.
Why the limitation: It’s mostly a technical and fraud-prevention thing. Handling multiple cards in one order can get complex.
If the inability to split payments is causing a snag for you, let us know. We want to make shopping easy, and understanding your needs helps us improve. In the meantime, the gift card trick above can be a useful workaround.
